Transfer Orientation
Listed below are admission requirements and instructions for transfer students, including U.S. citizens and international students who have earned credit or a degree from an accredited U.S. college or university.
 



bullet item How to Transfer to ISU

To transfer to Indiana State University, you must apply for admission and submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. For instructions (and links to the online application) visit:

Transfer Application (U.S. Citizens): For applicants who wish to transfer previously earned credit to a degree or program offered by Indiana State University.

International Transfer Application: For international applicants who have earned credit or a degree from an accredited U.S. college or university

Upon admission, advisors will review your transcripts and determine which credit transfers and which courses will be included in your program of study. See also credit transfer tools (at right).

 

bullet item University Admission Requirements

The following are general admission standards for transfer students:

  1. Good standing at last accredited institution attended
     
  2. High school records that meet the entrance requirements of freshmen admitted to Indiana State University
     
  3. A 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) in all college level studies

    The following require higher standards:

    ::  College of Education: 2.5 cumulative GPA

    ::  Nursing: Once admitted to the University, nursing programs require
         a separate application.

NOTE: Transferable hours are restricted to courses in which the applicant earned a grade of C or higher, and courses at the 100-level (and above) from regionally accredited colleges and universities.
