TB Screening Information

The Student Health Center requires all new students attending Indiana State University to have a base line tuberculosis skin test.  (See the immunization form).  It must be reported in millimeters and be signed by a healthcare provider.

All new international students are required to receive a tuberculosis skin test immediately upon arrival to Indiana State University.

The Student Health Center follows the 2005 Communicable Disease Centers recommendations for treating positive skin tests.  This can include chest x-ray, blood testing for liver enzymes and the taking of preventive medication treatment. Failure to comply will be referred to the Medical Withdrawal Committee for review and disciplinary action will be taken.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the
Student Health Center 237-3883.
