Welcome to the Student Health Center

The Student Health Center has as its mission the promotion of the physical, emotional, social, and environmental well-being of students and staff in the campus setting. Our broad goals include: increasing a healthy life style span, reducing disease and illness, and providing access to preventative services. The SHC provides interventions which have health promotion, preventative service, and surveillance components.

Your Student Health Center is staffed by dedicated health care professionals who are here to provide for your primary health care needs while you are away form home. The Student Health Center is located on the first floor of the Student Services Building on Fifth Street across from the School of Health & Human Performance and the tennis courts.

Medical Clinic

The Student Health Center is staffed by a medical director/physician, nurse practitioners, laboratory technician, x-ray technician, nurses, and support staff.

Sick Call

Sick call is Monday through Friday, 9:00am-10:30am;  and students MUST be signed in before 10:30am. Sick call is for students who have been injured or became ill after the Student Health Center has closed the evening before.

Appointments are required in the afternoon. Call 237-3883 to schedule an appointment. Please plan accordingly because any emergencies coming in take priority over sick call and appointments.

During peak periods, it may be necessary to recommend other health care facilities in the area to meet your health care needs. At other times, referrals may be necessary due to the unavailability of the required service. Students are responsible for any charges incurred at the referred facility.
