College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services
As of July 1, 2007, a new college has been created at Indiana State University - the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services.
This new college is an exciting undertaking to bring the health professions at Indiana State University together into one integrated and comprehensive unit. It does not change the accreditation of any programs within the curricula presently in each department.
With this new college, ISU is positioned to respond to the growing health and human services needs of our state and nation, while building upon our already-established reputation of excellence in these areas.
To read about the work that went into the formation of this new college, the Task Force Report can be reviewed at: http://www.indstate.edu/acad-aff/doc/health_sci_taskforce-final_report.doc. (Microsoft Word document)
Also available is Provost C. Jack Maynard's report to the Board of Trustees at: http://www.indstate.edu/acad-aff/doc/provost_recommendation-health_sci.doc. (Microsoft Word document)
Presently, the faculty of the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services is working on new policies and procedures which will create a collaborative governance of the new college. A search for a Dean also has begun, with hopes that the appointment will be made by the spring 2008 semester.
