Visitor Parking

We have two visitor parking lots adjacent to the HMSU that will satisfy a wide variety of parking needs.

Guidelines for Both Lots

VISITORS/INDIVIDUALS:
Please review the below chart for descriptions of the two visitor pay lots that are close to the Hulman Memorial Student Union. Please note if you are going to be on campus for more than two hours, please use the University Visitor Lot which is located north of HMSU. The Commons Visitor Lot (south) is for short term parking (2 hours or less).

If you are a VISITOR, You do not need to request parking using the on-line form as we do not reserve parking for individuals. If you have any questions, you may review the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) or contact the HMSU Parking Office at 812-237-3814 or via email.

ORGANIZATIONS/DEPARTMENTS:
We offer exclusive parking for your guests on the weekends or during non-business hours or daily rates up to a conference maximum during business hours. The table below shows the rates, hours, and capacities of each lot. To make arrangements for your guests to park during their visit to campus, please complete our on-line form.

Conference Rates
On-Campus Departments: Exclusive Usage (during non business hours):
1 day (flat rate):		$65 (University Lot) $40 (Commons Lot)
2 day (flat rate):		$85 (University Lot) $50 (Commons Lot)
Non Exclusive Usage (during regular business hours): (University Lot ONLY)* 1 day: per car fee (see chart above) up to a daily max of $200 2 day: per car fee to max of $200 (1st day) & $150 max (2nd day) Off-Campus Departments: Exclusive Usage (during non business hours):
1 day (flat rate):		$80 (University Lot) $50 (Commons Lot)
2 day (flat rate):		$100 (University Lot) $60 (Commons Lot)
Non Exclusive Usage (during regular business hours): (University Lot ONLY)* 1 day: per car fee (see chart above) up to a daily max of $200 2 day: per car fee to max of $200 (1st day) & $150 max (2nd day)
*Commons Lot is not recommended for conference parking

Guidelines for Both Lots:

All cars must be out of the lot prior to closing or be subject to a violation ticket. Prior arrangements can be made to avoid this violation.
Payment Options:
1. Guests pay as they exit.
2. The fee will be charged to the sponsoring department or group (Call HMSU Parking Services at 812-237-3818 to arrange for an account)
Services we provide:
   a. Large directional signs to welcome your guests
        and to let them know which lot to use.
   b. Campus Maps
   c. Parking Brochure
   d. Exclusive parking reservations on weeknights or
        weekends.
Parking requests can be done by completing the Parking Request Form (at the top of the page) and/or contacting the HMSU Parking Services office. Make your arrangements early so you can include this information in the invitations sent to your guests.
