Overview

The SIRL is focused on assisting the Athletic Training Department and College of Nursing, Health and Human Services in carrying forth the goals, objectives and standards established by Indiana State University. The SIRL strives to provide professional mentorship to athletic training students in the areas of basic and applied research, as they assume their roles in various clinical and academic settings in the athletic training /sports medicine profession.

The SIRL is committed to provide the highest possible quality of scientific scholarship that stimulates students to continually ask questions and explore these through the scientific method; ultimately, adding new knowledge to the sports medicine community. The SIRL also recognizes the importance of working collaboratively with individuals and organizations outside the College and University in an effort to promote scientific inquiry and scholarship related to the study of athletic training and sports medicine.
