The Black Student Union meets every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in HMSU, 321.
The Black Student Union was organized by a small group of students in 1968.  The BSU was developed to culminate the mind and body of African American students at Indiana State University.  Today, it influence is pervasive as an important campus forum which relates local, national, and international issues and concerns.

The Black Student Union is designed to encourage academic, social, and spiritual achievement.  Students support each other as they educate the campus community about cultural relationships.

One very important program sponsored by the Black Student Union is in the Fall African American Student Orientation program titled “Knowledge is Key.”
