Ebony Majestic Choir
Charismatic, poise, superb, balance, as well as outstanding showmanship are attributes which make the Ebony Majestic Choir, one of the premier gospel choirs in the Midwest.

Performing actively during the fall and spring semester of each academic year, the 50 plus dedicated and disciplined young men and women who represent most of the major cities of the Midwest Region, are under the direction of Mr. Nathaniel Truedell, Artist-in-Residence of the African American Cultural Center. The staff of the African American Cultural Center are Charles Brown, Director, Julia Bruce, Administrative Assistant and DiAnna Thompson, Graduate Assistant.
Since the inception of the Ebony Majestic Choir in 1972, the choir earned a reputation of delivering a "complete" musical program. They have performed for churches, schools, colleges, universities, and socio-civic organizations throughout the Midwest.
Notable performances by the choir include a joint concert with the Famed Fisk University Concert Choir and Jubilee Singers held in the Chapel at the University in Nashville, and the Governor's Prayer Breakfast held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Other notable concerts have been rendered in Memphis, TN, Cincinnati, OH, Fayetteville and Pine Bluff in Arkansas and even at Nassau located in the Bahamas. In the Spring of 1998 and 1999, the Ebony Majestic Choir Concert tour was held in Washington, DC.
The Ebony Majestic choir leaves an indelible impression to all who witnessed their performances. The talented ensemble breathes new life into each song imbuing deeper meaning and character.
